opening a gallery, i mean

when i first got here some people said it would be good for me
and i kinda came up with this idea but i've never told anyone it
haha

Just play it out for me, the train of thought. How would you do it, if you knew for certain it would work out, and no one would think it was silly?

well, i had this idea, right
that like... people would want others to know they were here
or new arrivals would wanna know who is/was here
you know?

so i thought a gallery full of portraits of all the uh
what do they call us
the gem people?
would be really neat, and really striking too
and it would help people remember others, when they leave
or learn who of their friends is here, when they come

kinda like a directory
or a memorial
whichever way you wanna look at it

i mean obviously there could be other stuff
i thought like, a little cafe would be neat too
since people like to drink coffee and stuff while they look at exhibits
but yea

I think you should go through with it. It's a good idea. I'll help you with the bureaucracy of it, if you want; I'm good at that sort of thing.

And I know someone in the process of opening her own cafe. Maybe she'd be interested in expanding into putting one in the gallery.
