[She sees his hand approaching her face, of course. She could, in theory, catch it by the wrist or knock it away, or just generally block him from successfully making contact with her fairly easily. But it's also sort of a novelty, isn't it? The way he acts so immediately at ease with her, regardless of how stiff or withdrawn she might be otherwise. It makes it that much easier to model his own relaxed temperament, and that's something precious. How rare it is, when she feels like she can actually let her guard down.

So she just watches him instead, her fruitless licking coming to a standstill so as not to interrupt the swipe of his thumb, and quietly makes sure to memorize the sight of him sucking the chocolate off of it after, the way it draws her attention inexorably to his mouth.]

By that logic, you also shouldn't take pictures of yourself. Or leave your house. Or interact with anyone, really. It takes effort and sacrifice to be invisible.
